Casa das Castas is located 200m from the Douro International Natural Park in Vermiosa, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo.
COBELCOS - VINHOS E TURISMO, LDA was founded in 2009, having its own brand Esgueva
It was created with a view to the development of three complementary activities:
- wine production,
- rural tourism and oenotourism.
From this vineyard - Vinha do Serro - the Valley of Esgueva Reserva Vinhas Velhas was created, which is an authentic mirror of this "terroir", in a unique wine and with an initable profile.
Of the various varieties for wine production we have Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Sousão , Alicant Bouschet, Rufete , Mourisco, Síria, Malvasia Fina, Fonte Cal and Riesling.
From the undeniable and exceptional location of Quinta da Torre (our largest vineyard), implanted in the heart of the Douro International Natural Park, in shale soils we produce the varieties Tinta Roriz Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Sousão. These grapes are used in the production of the wines Vale de Esgueva Grande Reserva Red and Vale de Esgueva Reserva, giving us wines with high sensory standards of color and concentration, deep and complex aromas.
Through the recovery of a building with traditional design, all the conditions were met to create the Casa das Castas, a building that totals nine double rooms, where you are provided with a quality accommodation service, and a hospitable and family-friendly care.
In the exteriors, a garden, a swimming pool and a private car park with covered area, were designed in union, with the existence of a wine cellar on site, where wine is produced, which will provide guests with the development of activities such as wine tastings, guided tours, participation in harvests and stepping on foot in stone lagar.
Currently it has a production of about 30 hectares of vineyards installed in one of the Portuguese demarcated regions - the Beira Interior region - in the northeast of Portugal, still part of the Douro River watershed.
Is there the possibility of the villa being sold with another 20 ha of vineyard being at the added value ? 500 000 of the vineyards.....
