Finca Blanca was fully restored by local artisan builders between 2018 and 2022. The works included the roof and every floor, wall, and terrace rebuilt to the highest standard from the stone up. In addition to the structural improvements, the finca has a new thermal insulated roof, electrics, AC/heaters, wood burning stoves, plumbing, and mains drainage connections. All floors, including the internal courtyard, are finished in handmade Moroccan tiles and these together with the reclaimed original features makes it the only stone built Moorish cortijo of its kind in the Cabo de Gata. The house sits in a beautiful plot full of ancient olives, almonds, pomegranates, and palm trees, within the UNESCO recognised Parque Natural, with far-reaching views in all directions, and is only a 10-minute drive to the wonderful beaches, bars and restaurants of Agua Amarga, Rodalquilar and Las Negras. This stunning property is currently a large family home, yet has the scale and flexibility to incorporate commercial/tourism ventures. Internal accommodation comprises: An impressive main entrance hall with 4m high ceiling and preserved 3.5m tall Moorish arch. Sitting room 1 has a wood-burning stove, air-conditioning (hot and cold), 3 French windows - 2 onto the west terrace and 1 onto the south terrace giving panoramic views of the old volcanic hills that line the Hornillo valley. Kitchen, fully-fitted with 8m polished concrete worktop, rendered open shelves with downlights, Lacanche cooker and hood, built-in fridges and dishwasher, and large skylight. Dining room with 4.5m high built-in plaster bookcase, pendant lights, wood burning stove and French window onto a Moroccan style internal courtyard. The secret internal courtyard is the heart of the cortijo, accessible through the sitting room, dining room, bedrooms 2 & 3, and east terrace. Bedroom 4 (currently a study) has a 4m high built-in plaster bookcase. Sitting room 2 has two original alcoves and fireplace, now fully restored, with wood-burning stove and door onto courtyard. Bedroom 1 is part of the master suite with a wood-burning stove, air-conditioning (hot & cold), and south and north facing windows. An archway leads into the dressing room with a 6m run of bespoke floor to ceiling wardrobes, and at one end a French window onto the south terrace, which has an outdoor shower, and at the other end a private en suite bathroom with double sink and skylight above walk-in shower.   Bedroom 2 has air-conditioning (hot & cold), and its own step-down sitting room with wifi and satellite TV point, and a French window into the internal courtyard. Bedroom 3 is currently used as an artist studio with kitchenette, wood-burning stove, French window into the internal courtyard, and bi-fold barn doors that open onto views to the Cabrera mountains 20 miles away. Bathroom 2 is located between bedrooms 2 & 3. Together beds 2 & 3 can be used as a separate apartment with independent access from the road and its own private walled garden. Utility room has an 8m run of storage units, double sink, washing machine, fridge and freezer, and electric hot water boiler to supplement the solar heating. Bathroom 3 located off utility room has a WC, polished concrete sink unit, and a walk in shower. Double Garage, 120m2, with large wooden double doors, power sockets and wall lights. This space is so large it can hold 2 cars and a small boat, or could easily be converted into further accommodation if required. Three distinct, flat-ground, garden areas of over 7000m2 with over 140 mature trees, including olives, almonds, figs, pomegranates and palms.
